BFF SAL 21 - the One With the Comedy of Errors

Well... this week was an interesting stitch.  I started off by outlining the ears with peach. Then moved on to the 'light peach'.. hmm methinks, this light peach is darker than the other, by quite a bit, have I mixed them up??  Nope... looks at the thread, see the peach was fine, hmm sometimes magazine thread is unexpected colours ah well..

Get to the end of the light peach section and the thread was only just sufficient to make it.  But totally doesn't look like the picture in the magazine. 

Sudden light bulb moment... what did I just stitch with??

Last project thread.. from Rudolph!!

Oh no!!!!  This is what I should have had, on the left, the light peach just visible above my sweatshirt.

So my mouse had freaky ears.. can I live with it?? Nope.  So the remaining time was spent unstitching.

Off camera fix time is thankfully allowed,  so now finally the eyes and ears are fixed.

No more trauma please!!

Yay... Rudolph is finished!!

I've enjoyed this one.

My BFF and I had a project in mind for a SAL start.. a cover kit from recent mag that we both have. Can I find the kit??  Can I heck?  I've been under furniture,  in boxes and bags.. where the hecky thump have I put it?  Might end up starting it with my own threads at this rate.

Never mind, it's got a week to show up!

Sorry for the delay blogpeeps,  life has kind of taken over this week as Teen is due back at Uni tomorrow... as well as some (pleasant but busy) work stuff that I might share later down the line.

Finished off the cross stitch (although I keep finding Ninjas), and about halfway through the backstitch.

BFF RAL - lovely red nose

Felt the need for simple tonight so continuing with last week's cover kit.

Feels like good progress,  most of the bottom part of face complete, and im enjoying a simple stitch.

I do however have a bigger project i need to pick up again,  so hoping I can progress on that with a couple of days off work next week.
